Sub: To Notify CMJ University, Shillong (Meghalaya) under the list of Private Universities maintained by the UGC.
"With reference to State Government Notification No. LL(B)42/09/80 dated 20th July, 2009 on the above subject, I am directed to say that CMJ University, Shillong (Meghalaya) has been established by an Act (No. 4 of 2009) of State Legislature of Meghalaya as a State Private University and is empowered to award degrees as specified by the UGC under section 22 of the UGC Act 1956 through its main campus with the approval of statutory bodies / councils, wherever required."
